Traceability is not a trend, it's reality

Our end consumers are becoming much more focussed on the traceability of their food, they want transparency of the supply chain and are becoming increasingly sensitive to detail of how products are grown, reared and manufactured. According to independent research commissioned by Trace One 83% of consumers demand increased transparency. This of course transcends a need into the manufacturing sector to really understand where products are sourced and how to display this information to the consumer.

This growing trend has been at the top of Foodmakers priority list for a while; in fact we've created a whole presentation displaying our raw materials, the knowledge we have of the source and the processes they go through right back to the little lady cutting open the Mace/Nutmeg fruit by hand in the fields of Indonesia.
