Vegan products no longer pushing Veganism?

There has been an interesting push on Vegan products lately, whereby the marketeers are no longer really pushing them as "Vegan products" or "meat free alternatives". The reason being that many have thought these messages promote a feeling that the product is a lesser version of meat. A second option if you decided not to eat meat. A free from claim isn't enough now, that is a kin to a new burger displaying "made from cow" on the pack...it's just an obvious statement.

Taking the lead of Quorns marketing campaign many are promoting the health benefits of flexi diets, plant based diets etc. A much more enriching message for consumers. With the success of McDonalds McVegan burger...will we ever see a true key player in food service promoting these plant based healthier products?
