Secret Sausages Bean Stew

  • 1-2 packs Secret Sausages
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 celery sticks, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée
  • 400g can butter beans
  • 400g can baked beans in tomato sauce
  • ½ small bunch thyme
  • 200ml vegetable stock
  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
  2. Grill/Fry the secret sausages per back of pack cooking instructions and set aside.
  3. Pour the oil into a large casserole dish and heat. Add the veg (celery, carrots, onion) and fry for 10 mins. Stir in the tomato purée and cook for 1 min more.
  4. Add the beans, (butter and baked beans) thyme and some seasoning, then pour in the stock and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat.
  5. Add sausages and serve with baked potato, salad or mash.
